October 2017 is absolutely chock-full of sporting goodies, so if that’s your thing you’re in for a treat. The Dubai Fitness Challenge runs from the 20th of October and into November and will kick off some super exciting sporting events.
Sport Events are perfect events to take part in while holidaying from a cheap hotel in Dubai.
Dubai Camel Races
The Dubai Camel Races are an iconic traditional Arabian sporting event.
The Dubai Camel Races pull people in from across the GCC and Middle East to watch some of the most exciting races in the world. Don’t get it wrong, though, the camel races are serious business! There are huge prizes for the camel race winners.
The Dubai Camel races runs from 5th October until 28th October with races held on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th and 29th of October.
Pinktober Full Moon Yoga
October is the official month of breast cancer awareness and as a result, Fairmont at the Palm will be taking part in Pinktober with a full moon yoga session. This hour-long yoga session will be followed by a 30 minute guided meditation session.
The Full Moon Yoga session will be guided by professional yoga instructor, Melanie Swan and don’t forget to wear pink!
Pinktober Full Moon Yoga will take place on the 7th of October.
Global Mala Yogathon
Launch day of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, head on down to Safa Park to take part in the Global mala Yogathon. This two hour 108-position classical hatha yoga session is open to everybody over age 16.
Kickstart your fitness on the 20th of October.
Dubai Desert Warrior
If you’re looking for something a little bit more extreme than Global Mala Yogathon, try out the Dubai Desert Warrior challenge.
The ultimate test of fitness, this adrenaline fuelled obstacle course can be tackled as a team or individually.
The Dubai Desert Warrior challenge takes place on the 20th of October.
Also happening on launch day of the Dubai Fitness Challenge is the 2XU Triathlon. The ultimate test of endurance fitness, you’ll be running, swimming and cycling your way across Dubai.
The 2XU Triathlon is on the 20th of October.
Pink Ladies Games
To continue the theme of breast cancer awareness, the Pink Ladies Games is a ladies-only event at the Sheraton at the Jumeirah Beach Residence. You can take part in plenty of fun challenges and there are also free screenings for ladies.
The Pink Ladies Games takes place on the 27th of October as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
Dubai City Swim
This great event is part of the Global Swim Series and the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Grab your swimsuit, head to Kite Beach for a group-swimming event past the Burj Al Arab. Expert kayakers will be present, paddling alongside swimmers to make sure everybody’s safe. If you’re not in the mood to swim, you can take part as a supporter.
The Dubai City Swim will take place on the 28th of October at Kite Beach.
